Impressive indeed...
Somebody put cold on them...very cold ;)
misteroadster superpi stable only or 3d too???
:)
in general when superpi 1M works 3dmarks works with 20mhz less about. ;)
phuaaaaaaaaa :slobber: :slobber: :slobber:
Those are amazing air-clocks!
Imagine what just a XP-120 could do !!!
FX-55 definately rocks. too bad they are way too expensive for me.
Can't wait to see benches from one cooled by an cascade :D
I notice folks posting very large screenies.
Download www.irfanview.com and plugins...
prnt-scr -> open irfanview -> ctrl-v to paste image -> use mouse to highlight only area you want to show -> ctrl-Y to crop that area -> ctrl-R to resize it to 450-700pixels for forums -> save as -> jpeg -> options set at 65-75% quality
= nice small image
HTH
MVsnap is also very good screenshotprog.
But very off topic =)
this is the FX55's HSF.

OOOO SNAP, i gots to get me one of these
:slobber:
That is uber, no doubt about it. Can't wait til some lucky sob's get these and put better cooling on 'em.
Btw, awesome hsf ;)
DAMN, I wish I had the money to buy a aircooled setup like that!
Thats it im definatly getting a FX55 come payday :D
Drool , thats very nice
Holy :banana::banana::banana:e. I must say, that heat sink looks quite awesome.
Keep up the awesome clocking!
Must get... Athlon... 64...
i'm actually priming the FX55 at 3030 with just a waterchiller and 1,66vcore (1,7 bios)
Nice looking chip :toast:
Can't wait to try one of these babies:)
OPP
3050Mhz 1,664v :)
What kind of temp are you getting with them chillers? :banana:Quote:

I give AMD2 thumbs up for the heatsink alone.
very impressive for a stock heatsinks :D
Ive got an alto saxophone that should be worth about a grand :D
Holy crap, the fx-55 cpu really seems to shine :slobber:
really nice clocks for just aircooling :toast:
what temps are you at with the chiller?
i've got -25° idle 0° full at 1,665v
oi !
thats def hotter than the non ss ch's!
what speed?
no , i'd got the same temps about with my FX53 , i'm at 3050 Mhz prime95.
i've done 26 sec superpi at 3100mhz.
Holy ***t. Amd is going to shred intel in 3dmark methinks. Now when can I get a newcastle/winchester that clocks like that? ;)

yeah, i agree with kunaak, those heatsinks are well designed, man, excellent job misterroadster, congrats on ur high scores
it's hard to tell you if the temps are exactly the same because i ve flashed to F5 bios and it does changes on temps monitoring.Quote:

i've got 26 sec at 3100 , but i prefer this screenshot with superpi at 3127 Mhz :D:

Wholy crap!!!!! 3.1ghz on Air???????? NOWAY
What kind of a heatsink is that??? Thermalright SP90?
he switched to using a waterchillerQuote:

But the chip still does well on air 2.8ghz which is like FX57 and 3ghz is like FX59, pretty amazing knowing your ahead like 1 year ahead.
I also thought that stock heatsink is Thermalright SP90 because it looks exactly the same. I'd like to know what are the temp. with it at stock voltage and if its worth spending 50 bucks for the SP90.
Misterroadster, which memory are you using on the 3500+ 0.09 ??
You know normally I throw the boxed hsf in the pile but to be honest if you get rid of that fan and stick an 80cfm delta on it I can't see the normal extreme heatsinks such as Thermalright etc doing that much better.Quote:

lol not air but with a chillerQuote:

Amazing!!!!!! Unbelievable, what memory are you using with these babies?
What the temp are ??Quote:

Thats just because the results on air are so amazing, these chips are reaching the limits of what they can do.
if Intel put those babies on a presscott retail package.. that would be smart on their end.. sigh ever since 1992 their fans and stickers on the fans havn't changed.. and they still insist on using crappy heatsinks that barely get the job done..Quote:

i think the two spots you mean are the back of heatpipes that come out of the heatsink on the other end :)
i am more amazed with the memory performance and timings. 2-2-2-7 @ 267mhz
yea pls do tell us what memory u are using.
thx Eva2000, i find that program quite useful.Quote:

misteroadster,
What's with Cpu-Z & Tras @ 0??
Can your ram do that or is it a Cpu-Z bug??
Then a screenie with Tras @ 1??
Don't get the wrong impression here, I'm just curious as to what ram can do TRAS @ 0 or 1...
BTW, nice CPU you got there...
Gift-giving season is fast approacing :D
"Yes honey, thats n-e-w-e-g-g.com..."
What motherboard are you using misteroadster?
it was kingston KHX3200 256 mo sgle sided. , it's not a bug :)
i'm using gigabyte k8nsnxp 939
