On my X800GTO2@16p, 580/600, I only get 6300 on 3DMark05. With the memory timings, I get 7100. How do u make those timings the default? ATITool always goes back to the default timings everytime I restart.
save to default, and run atitool with a schedule task wen u logonQuote:

Everytime I save it to default and restart ATITool, it gets grayed out, like I never saved to it.
You can use RaBit to make a custom bios
But apparently you can do it in ATT (Ati Tray Tools) which I do not know how.
Alright!
I talked to Ray, the creator of ATI tools, he helped me out.
IN Ati tools (att) Go to Hardware->Overclocking->Timings
IF thats not there,
Edit atitray.ini (default directory C:\Program Files\Radeon Omega Drivers\v2.6.87\ATI Tray Tools)
change hide_timings=1
to hide_timings=0
And YES, you could load them in profile, just be verrry careful, make sure they're stable.
I also recommend using "auto 3d detection", and make 2 profiles, one overclocked and one with default settings. When you play a game (or a 3d application) it will launch your overclocked profile, when you go back to windows, it goes back to default. That way there's MUCH less wear and tear on your poor x800 ;)
I just tried that, but everytime I set a setting, my computer would crash. If I did the same thing in ATITool, it wouldn't crash.
Some of the wording is different in Tray tools,Quote:

open ATI TOOL, no, not tray tools, ATI TOOL, click [mem], put these settings:
TRCDRD: 7
TRCDWR: 3
TRP: 5
TRAS: 13
TRRD: 4
TWR: 6
TR2W: CL+2
TW2R: 4
TR2R: USE TWR RULE
TR2R: 2
WR_LATENCY: 1.5
CAS_LATENCY: 7
CMD_LATENCY: 0
STR_LATENCY: WR LATENCY
REFRESH_RATE: 0x75
TRFC: 23
[APPLY]
Keep ATItool open, and open up ATT(ati tray tools),
Go to Hardware->Overclocking->Timings tab (if you don't see it, see my post above)
within the timings tab, there will be 3 tabs "Timings 1" "Timings 2" "Timings 3"
Within each of them, click [Read], and it will read the timings that you set in ATItool!
After "Reading", check "include in profile" and save them all to the same profile
Just don't be stupid, and play it safe!
Hope that helps! ;)
I used ATITool 0.24 instead of 0.25 Beta 10 and it loads the timings everytime now. :)
RaBiT v1.7 does not list all the timings and in the correct order, (e.g. REFRESH_RATE: 0x75 is missing from the bios editor).
Would of been good to make a custom bios based totally on all the settings, so as not to have to load/use ATi Tool each time windows loads.

Easy said than done for most people if you inclined that way.
Are these timing working with X800GTO2 that unlocked to X850XT PE too ??
Yah, I'm using those timings on a X800GTO2.
will try on x800xt AIW as soon as i get back my mobo...
Do you think these timings will be good on my X800GT ?
I have some timings much more tight than these. Have you tried to push it a little bit more ?
This will come in useful for me... gonna test it right now. :)

If you use ATITool, the timings will only be applied when you want it to, it doesn't save to the BIOS.
